II.2.4) Description of the procurement: The successful Supplier will be required to provide cleaning services for Prudhoe Community High School, part of the Tyne Community Learning Trust. Contract length = Initial 3-year contract award, with two x one year optional extensions. Total possible contract length is 5 years. Contract value = £450,000 over the whole 5 year potential contract term Prudhoe Community High School opened in 1958 with 350 students. In September 2016, the new school building opened, and the school is now a thriving, attractive and well-resourced school serving the community of Prudhoe and beyond with 778 current pupils and a capacity for 860 pupils, and 80 staff. The pupils age range is 14 to 19. The school consists of three buildings totalling 7,081.75 Square Metres; •Main School at 6,487 Sqm •Engineering Block at 331.5 Sqm •Sports Block at 263.25 Sqm. The main building is 6.5 years old, the second building dates from 2008, and the third building from approx. 2000 In 2019 the School academised, joining Tyne Community Learning Trust. Students describe the school as a happy community which is evident in the relationships between staff, students and parents / carers. The school wants their young people to: •Strive for excellence wherever and however they can •Develop their values and learn to live by them •Participate actively In turn the school shall: •Strive for excellence •Create a hard working and caring, safe and stimulating community •Work in partnership with our parents and carers and local, national and international organisations to enrich our outcomes The school’s current outsourced cleaning provision is coming to the natural end of its contract, and the school will tender the service to ensure the whole school continues to work toward the school’s vision.
