We are a mixed 11-18 school in Hagley, Worcestershire, England with approximately 1120 students. We are situated in a semi rural setting but have based close to Worcestershire, Dudley and Birmingham. The school was graded Good in in most recent Ofsted inspection.

The Client is looking for a Transport Service partner that adds value through the provision of a safe, efficient and ‘value for money’ service to their pupils and can manage the scheduled and ad hoc travel requirements, both current and into the future.

The selected service provider shall be:

•Fully conversant with the latest and evolving legislation regarding the provision of Transport Services in a Secondary School environment, in line with Public Passenger Vehicles Act 1981
•Required to evidence their quality assurance and security systems
•Required to evidence their proposed Key Performance Indicator measures for the contract
•Required to periodically present performance reporting and service development recommendations to the School
•Qualified to provide advice and support regarding School Transport Services policies

The contract will provide a pupil Travel Services 5 days a week, during term time, for 190 academic days plus agreed ad hoc requirements for some weekend and holiday trips. The core of the service shall be four agreed routes and stops between Birmingham, Bearwood and Halesowen to Hagley, at the start and end of each academic day with the option to increase the provision to accommodate students from the Stourport /Bewdley/ Worcestershire area.

Administration of payments by circa 211 students (250 maximum currently) shall be by the successful contractor, with the active support of the School.

The contract will commence on 1 September 2021 for an initial period of three years, ending 31 August 2024, with the opportunity to extend for a further period of up to two years, at the discretion of the Governing body.

The contract will be monitored by School senior representatives. No TUPE will apply.
