St Michael’s Church of England High School is a school of 1137 11–16-year-old pupils situated in Chorley, Lancashire.

The school has a main kitchen and dining area and a separate small kitchen and modern café area (Glasshouse), currently catering for year 11 pupils. There is also an external hatch from the main kitchen and a container that has provided a jacket potato offer in the past.

This is a school with high standards and the same high standards are expected from the catering provider. The emphasis is on pupils sitting down to eat a meal with a knife and fork rather than a grab and go culture with strong emphasis on a balanced diet and a sociable dining experience. Disposables and plastic bottles are actively discouraged.

The school expects to work closely with their catering provider to ensure that the pupils eat well and behave well. Communication and proactive engagement are key.
