II.2.4) Description of the procurement: Hodge Hill Girls’ School is a small school with strong community values; staff know and care for every pupil as an individual. All local pupils are welcome and everyone strives to meet the needs of each member of the school community, celebrating diversity and always striving for equality in the school family and the wider world. The school ethos encourages mutual respect and support to enable every pupil to make the greatest personal, social and academic progress during their time with at school, preparing them for successful careers and fulfilling lives.

A relentless drive for the best academic progress for each individual pupil, sits comfortably alongside the wider curriculum where values education embraces citizenship, pupil voice, charity and community work. In academic studies there are personalised pathways in learning to meet the needs of individuals and groups of pupils. Lessons use a blend of modern technology, traditional teaching and individual support in every area of the curriculum. From self-evaluation it is understood that differentiation and challenge in lessons is of paramount importance to rates of individual pupil progress. The quality of marking, feedback, pupil response and homework support the pace of learning – these areas have been and continue to be areas of focus for the school.

All at Hodge Hill Girls' School genuinely value and strive to enhance working partnerships with families, feeder schools and the local community. This partnership is essential in raising standards and achievement, every member of the school family has a role to play in raising the aspirations of all pupils to ensure they really are "Educating Tomorrow's Women Today".
The contract being tendered is for three years in duration from 1 January 2022 until 31 July 2025, with the option to extend for a further period of up to two years and will operate as a Guaranteed Performance Contract, with the successful Contractor offering the school a guaranteed cost / return per annum for the provision of catering services. Sovereignty of the cash tariff is to remain with the school for the duration of this contract.

Whilst the School prioritises value for money as a key objective of the Competitive Tender Process, the Board of Governors are not obliged to accept the lowest price.

The tender project is seeking to appoint a Contractor whose initiative and innovation will be welcomed for the provision of service within the existing facilities for the teaching and support staff and students on roll, all of whom have a focus on the introduction of exciting new food concepts to satisfy a wide range of tastes and dietary requirements. The school would wish the successful contractor to review the current range of services offered and make recommendations accordingly.

The contract offered covers the scope for the provision of all Halal catering services within School, which currently includes breakfast, morning break, lunch and all hospitality and free issue requirements. Free Student meals and hospitality will be charged based on consumption and at net food cost.
The school expects the successful contractor to enable the continued development of catering through the provision of an innovative, healthy food service, with fresh, seasonal, locally sourced ingredients being prepared on-site. The school also expects the successful tenderer to evidence, through their bid, how they shall support and complement its values and support the principles of Keeping Children Safe in Education.

The school believes that success should be celebrated and that students should enjoy their time at School; if lessons are stimulating and challenging then students will love learning. Much time, therefore, is spent reviewing and planning schemes of work to ensure that they are differentiated to meet the needs of all students.
