Holland Park is a highly successful and over-subscribed comprehensive school in the heart of west central London and educates circa 1,380 pupils of mixed gender between the ages of 11-18. It is recognised as "an outstanding school" by Ofsted, recorded as one of the country’s top performing specialist Humanities Colleges and praised in the Good Schools Guide as a school which "has seen a steep and continuing rise in results".

The school is profoundly committed to exacting high standards, to formality, to demanding creative excellence from its staff and students. It is a driven institution where students’ success lies at the core of all planning.

Following a major building programme, the school converted to academy status on 1 September 2013 and has retained the title Holland Park School. The new school consists of approximately 15,000 m2 flexible classroom and teaching space and is divided in to two distinct halves, separated by a central atrium stretching the full length of the building, linked by a series of walkways on each level.

Basis of Contract

The contract will be on a fixed price basis and subject to Government COVID 19 guidelines and conditions is anticipated to commence in January 2021 for an initial period of three years with an option to extend by a maximum of up to two years.

The turnover for the initial three-year period is estimated at £750,000

Objectives

The appointed Supplier will preferably be a Corporate Members of BICSc and have significant experience of delivering quality cleaning services within school premises. The Supplier should have proven experience of successfully managing the TUPE process and have a strong operational base with adequate local support that provides staff cover and flexibility as and when needed.

Ultimately, it is important that the Supplier must demonstrate and uphold the school’s commitment to exacting standards with a proven ability to deliver productivity and efficiencies through the application of best practice and innovation.
